Hey everyone! Just wanted to post a picture from last year’s reunion. Once again, thank you to all attendees for making it a great time! Everyone had a lot of fun hanging out and catching up, and we hope that you’ll be able to make it to future reunions!
We’ve also added a new section to our Pictures!
Check out the “Reunion” section on the drop-down Pictures menu or click here (link will open in a new tab).
The link is available in the drop-down menu under Pictures! You can also click here (link will open in a new tab). Thank you to all of the campers and staff for making the 2016 conference a great success!
“Mark your calendars! The dates for this year’s St. Mike’s conference are set: August 15 to 19.
Also, we have some exciting news: we will be trying out a new location this year! It is called 2 Timothy Place, and is an offshoot ministry of the Toronto Chinese Methodist Church.
It is located in the beautiful Kawartha Lakes region, on the Trent-Severn waterway east of Lake Simcoe. The grounds are spacious (though smaller than our previous home, Selah Camp), and the buildings are newly renovated and beautifully maintained. You can check out their website at http://2timsplace.ca/wp/, where you will find lots of pictures. I hope to see you all there this August!”
If you head to the ‘Registration’ section of our website (either by using the top menu or clicking here), you will find the 2016 brochure and registration form. I encourage you to take a look and send your form (along with the $50 deposit) to us as soon as possible!
The form and deposit are due by July 1st, 2016.
Stay tuned for information about the upcoming camp reunion—the date is being set and we will let you know when and where the reunion will be held!
Hello everyone! Pictures from our 2015 session have just been uploaded to the site. You can find them by hovering over the “Pictures” tab at the top of the page and selecting “2015 Pictures” from the drop-down menu, or click here (link will open in a new tab).
You may notice something new about the way pictures are being presented on the website. Recently, the web service that was previously used to host the camp’s photo galleries announced that it is going to start to phase out and eventually close down in the coming months. So, to avoid suddenly losing everything, the pictures have been moved to the site itself and are in slideshow format on each year’s photo page. This should be convenient to use for everyone, though we apologize in advance if this decision causes slower load times. Let us know how the new method works!
I’m pleased to announce that our 2015 testimonial is up! Big thanks to Parker for sharing his thoughts with us for this. If you’d like to read what he had to say about St. Michael’s Youth Conference, hover over the “Testimonials” tab and select “Parker (2015)” from the menu, or click here (link will open in a new tab).
“I found that [St. Michael’s Youth Conference] really challenged me to grow in my faith in new ways, and helped me to become a better Christian.”
Check back in the coming weeks to get more information about 2016 registration as well as some exciting news concerning this year’s session!
If you have any questions about the camp, please email our director, Diana Verseghy at email@example.com
The deadline to register, July 3rd, has officially passed. Thank you to those who have handed in your forms! We look forward to seeing you at our 2015 camp session (August 10th – August 15th).
Additionally, our staff profiles have updated! We’re pleased to welcome Nicholas Snow and his father, Revd. Christopher Snow, who will be taking over the kitchen and providing the camp with delicious meals for the week. Read their profiles over at the Other Staff page.
If you have any questions, please contactDiana Verseghy via email: firstname.lastname@example.org
A big thank you to everyone who came out to our reunion at the beginning of the month! In addition to very interesting discussions in the morning, we were lucky enough to have really nice weather for our outing to Kensington Market in the afternoon. It was great to have such a big group this year and we look forward to seeing some of these young people at camp in the future!
Anyway, onto the important information for this year’s camp session!
If you go on over to our Registration page, you’ll notice that the 2015 brochure and registration forms have been added for this year’s session. The camp week is happening a bit earlier this year, so I hope that everyone can still make it out! Instead of running camp during the latter part of August, this year’s session will be from August 10th to August 15th.
If you would like to register (and we hope you do!), you need to send us a registration form (found on the Registration page, as mentioned) along with a $50.00 deposit per camper. The deadline for registration is July 3rd, so please get those forms in quickly! The mailing address for forms can be found on both the brochure as well as the registration form itself.
If you have any questions about registration, don’t hesitate to contact our director, Diana Verseghy via email: email@example.com
If you have problems with your email, please leave a comment and I will find a way to answer your question(s).
I hope everyone is having a good school year so far (and a good March break!)
The dates for this year’s conference have been finalized by administration and I’m pleased to announce that the 2015 St. Michael’s Youth Conference will be held from August 10th – August 15th at our usual location, Selah Camp (location details found here – link will open in a new tab/window).
The registration form for this year as well as the dates for this year’s upcoming reunion will be made available to you soon! Check back in the next few weeks for updates.
In the meantime, check out new staff profiles from recent additions to the team! Campers from last year’s session will recognize them, but for those of you who are new to the camp this year or haven’t been for a year or two, you might want to check out their bios here and here (links will open in a new tab/window).
Helen Snow (one of the newer staff members) wrote a testimonial about the 2013 St. Michael’s Youth Conference, which can be found here (link will open in a new tab/window).
