My first year at St. Michael’s Youth Conference was amazing. This camp helped me discover many things about myself that I didn’t know before. I met many new people, who I befriended. Everyone was really nice to me, which made camp quite enjoyable. In the mornings, we had our religious classes. My first thoughts beforehand were “Oh goodness, this is going to be boring”. Well, I was wrong.

The lessons being taught in each class were valuable ones. They reached out to me, and I took them in gladly. In the afternoons, we had fun doing recreational activities such as low ropes, hiking, and swimming. Our evenings were quite relaxed with team building activities and games.

At the end of the week, I had discovered a lot about myself. These discoveries have helped me a lot in the past year. I made a goal at the end of camp to become an acolyte at my church. It’s been more than a year, and I am proudly an acolyte at St. Thomas’ Anglican Church. My first year at camp has changed my life.
